The AC Milan players will take to the field for the game tomorrow evening against Cagliari with the maiden names of their mothers on their shirts, it has been revealed.

Milan will be back on the pitch at San Siro against Claudio Ranieri’s Cagliari tomorrow night at 20:45 CEST in what is the penultimate home game of the season, hoping to take a step towards sealing second spot.

On the other hand the Sardinians still have to earn survival in the top flight and will come to Milan with great motivation. The game against Genoa last weekend showed that the Rossoneri are not exactly in great shape, either.

As Radio Rossonera report among other sources, May 12th is Mother’s Day and the Rossoneri players will celebrate it in a special way during the game against Cagliari tomorrow, which of course comes the day before.

The players will go onto the pitch with special shirts that have their mothers’ names or surnames instead of their own above the number.

The initiative was welcomed by six other Serie A clubs who will have a special exemption from the League, but not all teams have joined due to the limited timeframe with which it was promoted.
