Despite being a majorly consistent starter for Manchester United since his arrival in January, Wout Weghorst's time at Old Trafford seems to be coming to an end. The striker has struggled to find the net but has provided another option for United.

Erik Ten Hag has been pleased with the forward due to his ability of the ball and how he presents new chances to United with his play style. However, there are a number of questions over whether the player is up to the standard of United.

Weghorst only signed on an initial loan deal with no buy option from Burnley. There had been some reports stating that the striker could stay past his initial loan deal, however that now looks unlikely.

According to a new report from football insider journalist Pete O'Rourke, "Man Utd have decided to NOT sign Wout Weghorst on a permanent deal this summer. Erik ten Hag remains focused on bringing a world-class centre-forward."

It won't come as a surprise to many United fans if he was to move on after the short loan deal. Ten Hag is ready to sign his number one striker target this summer which has been named as Harry Kane.
