Wout Weghorst arrived at Old Trafford on loan in the January transfer window and was quite the interesting signing to say the least. The Dutch striker had been loaned away from Burnley to Besiktas where he was making a mark in the Turkish league.

A successful World Cup followed before the towering forward was brought to Old Trafford by Erik Ten Hag. Weghorst arrived on an initial loan deal and whilst his off the ball work has been good, he has barely succeeded at the club.

The striker has not scored a Premier League goal for the Red Devils but has found the net in cup competitions as well as winning his first ever senior trophy - the Carabao Cup. Weghorst's time at Old Trafford is up and will not be re signed this summer.

The other January loan arrival was Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer. A player that was brought in to cover the injured Christian Eriksen was a name that impressed United fans.

The Austrian international made a good impact and has played a great role for United when called upon. However, injuries have played their part and seemingly persuaded United not to consider a permanent deal for the player.

A sensible choice given the value that could be in the market for a player better that Sabitzer for the price that Bayern are asking for his services on a permanent basis.
