Notre Dame Offers Impressive List Of Offensive Lineman During Pot Of Gold
Nathan Papes, USA TODAY Sports

The 2024 Pot of Gold event was a massive success, continuing to grow each and every year. On Sunday, over 100 of the best recruits in the 2026 recruiting class were officially offered by Notre Dame.

Among that very talented list of players, the Irish offered eight offensive lineman during the event. Here are the talented players to know up front.

KEVIN BROWN - Harrisburg (Pa.) High School

Standing at only 260 pounds right now, Brown will obviously need a lot of physical development looking forward. However, he has some outstanding tools to work with. Brown is a big time heavyweight wrestler for Harrisburg and it shows on film. He hand-fights very well and understands how to gain leverage as a blocker. Appearing a lot more like a big tight end right now, Brown is a fast and explosive athlete. He can really navigate space exceptionally well.

LAMAR BROWN - Erwinville (La.) University Lab

Brown plays both offensive and defensive line for University Lab, and has the talent to play on either side of the ball on the next level if he would like. As an athlete, Brown is special. He is incredibly springy out of his stance and moves really well. That explosiveness shows as a blocker as well. When Brown makes contact, he creates a ton of movement. This is the top interior offensive lineman in the country.

JACKSON CANTWELL - Nixa (Mo.) High School

Without being too hyperbolic, this may be the best high school sophomore football player I’ve ever seen. Cantwell could walk into a college locker room today and not look out of place. He has every athletic gift to be a star left tackle on the next level, including size, length, athleticism and a nasty demeanor. This is an elite level recruit.

DARIUS GRAY - Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher’s School

When talking raw power, there aren’t many better than Gray. As an athlete, he is a very linear player but he can create a ton of movement at the point of attack. Gray is an ideal guard on the next level, excelling as a down blocker and moving the line of scrimmage. He is a try hard blocker with a ton of physicality and solid linear athleticism.

GEORGE HASEOTES - Naples (Fla.) Community School

Another interior offensive lineman, Haseotes has a good blend of athleticism and power to work with. While he isn’t the best athlete on the list, he is very controlled and plays with a good base while working up to the second level. Haseotes also boasts a mean temperament as a blocker. He understands how to finish blocks and runs his feet on contact.

TYLER MERRILL - Mechanicsburg (Pa.) Cumberland Valley

Merrill is a massive young man, standing at around 6-5 and 320 pounds. You won’t find a more physically imposing offensive lineman on this list, showing a nasty demeanor and non stop motor as a blocker. Merrill has played both offensive tackle and offensive guard for his high school. While he functionally could stay outside, his demeanor, size and physicality does seem like an ideal fit inside.

EKENE OGBOKO - Durham (N.C.) South Garner

Ogboko is how offensive tackles look physically on the next level. At right around 6-6 and 270 pounds, Ogboko is skinny right now but he is long with plenty of room to grow. Out of his stance, he is very explosive and has good overall movement skills. There is a lack of power in Ogboko’s game right now, but that’s to be expected for a player that has a lot of mass to add.

GREGORY PATRICK - Portage (Mich.) Northern

Listed at 275 pounds, Patrick is a high school offensive tackle that looks like he will be making the move inside on the next level. Obviously there is a need for physical development, which should be expected for a high school sophomore. Patrick plays with a nice level of explosiveness and routinely finishes his blocks, which should boast very well moving forward.
